Kate Stewart works with the safety, security and license compliance communities to advance the adoption of best practices into embedded open source projects. Kate was one of the founders of System Package Data eXchange (SPDX) and is currently a technical team co-lead. She has led SBOM format development working groups in NTIA and CISA. She currently leads the SBOM Everywhere SIG in OpenSSF. Since joining The Linux Foundation in 2015, she has launched the Real-Time Linux, Enabling Linux in Safety Applications (ELISA) and Zephyr Projects, as well as supporting other embedded projects.
